Holidays in the Alps There is simply a vast array of activities and sports to ensure a fully action packed holiday for the whole family. Whether it's golf or tennis or something more adrnenalin filled like canyoning or downhill mountain biking, Tignes has it all. There are also 7 lakes in the area with activities such as sailing, canoeing and windsurfing as well as swimming if you need to cool off after a hard days' hiking in the world famous Vanoise National Park. It's best to plan your stay to some degree and pre-book certain activities to ensure no time is wasted on arrival in resort. We can put together a package for you and organise all activities - all you have to do is turn up, throw caution to the wind, and enjoy it! |

Junkies Wild Water Activities [Rafting - Kayaking - Rapid Riding] - Canyoning - Helicopter Scenic Flights - Parapente - Climbing - Via Ferrata - High Rope Course - Trial Bikes - Quad Bikes - 4x4 Driving Course If you're here for a week, it's great to mix up your activities with perhaps some skiing for a couple of mornings, white water rafting or canyoning for either a half or whole day each, an afternoon on the high rope course - and if you've got a head for heights then try a day's introductory course in Via Ferrata. Mixed in with this you'll need to find time to relax and DO NOTHING - perhaps a short (or long) walk up into the Vanoise Parc National or laze around the pool in Tignes Le Lac or simply soak up some rays at the chalet. |

Rock Cimbing With La Grande Casse (the highest point in the Vanoise National Park) and La Grande Sassière on its doorstep, Tignes is a Mecca for mountaineering enthusiasts. And with routes for all abilities and supervision provided by professionals, you can have a go at rock climbing. You can also practise climbing indoors in Tignespace. Via FerrataA via ferrata (Italian for "iron way") is a type of mountain climbing route with a safety system permanently installed, making the climb suitable for persons with no prior training and minimal equipment. The climber is attached at all times to a steel cable which runs along the entire route; no climbing rope is generally required. Steel rungs, ladders, bridges and similar structures are used to keep the climbing from becoming too difficult, while providing access to high, vertical faces and extreme mountain terrain which would otherwise be accessible only to experienced, roped climbing parties Via Ferrata Adults: €50 Via Ferrata Under 13s: €25

| Hiking |
| There
are endless hiking routes in the area with some of the best starting
from Tignes Les Brevieres. A favourite is a trip into the Vanoise
National Park, up past the Refuge de la Martin and on towards
the Savinaz Glacier. The round trip takes you across towards the Eye
of the Needle and back to Brevieres via the Vallon de la Sache. The
whole trip takes about 5-6 hours and makes a great day trip with fantastic
views of the hanging glacier and a chance to spot the elusive chamois
or maybe even an ibex. There are maps and walking guides at the chalet to help you plan your route and the tourist office in Tignes Le Lac has many additional publications. It's a good idea to hire a qualified guide for at least a day to get the most out of the area. |

The
highest 18 golf course in Europe at 2,100m - 2,300m above sea level.
Set on both sides of the valley the golf course affords magnificent
views over Lac de Tignes and the mountains beyond. The greens are
superb considering they are under snow for 6 months of the year
and there are some very challenging holes - particularly on the
front 9. Getting used to the distances takes a while as your wedge
will go 150 yards! |
